Tumblarity is an algorithm based on what you post, how frequently you post, how many likes and reblogs it gets, by whom, and who you are reblogging, averaged over a period of time.  You’ll never see an immediate spike in tumblarity from a specific thing you posted, but its your activity as a whole that makes the number go up and down.

Tumblarity is calculated in exactly the same way the score is calculated in Whose Line is it Anyway. No difference.
